Air transportation between Seoul and Pohang is not reliable (flights often canceled due to the weather).

The Gimpo Airport is a domestic airport, and shuttle buses will take you there from the Incheon International Airport. It takes about 30-40 minutes, and costs ￦6,000. For domestic flights, the airlines collect ￦4,000 to international ticket holders for the Airport Fee. So, it is better for you to change the foreign currency at the Incheon International Airport before taking a shuttle bus to the domestic terminal at the Gimpo Airport. The flight from Seoul to Pohang takes about one hour.

POSTECH is located about 30 minutes away from the Pohang Airport. The most convenient method to get to POSTECH is to take the university shuttle bus, which commutes between the airport and the campus twice a day (once in the morning and once in the afternoon) during weekdays. The university shuttle bus is free.
A taxi will cost about ￦10,000 for the trip, and is recommended if the flight can not be connected to the university shuttle bus. There is also a city shuttle bus, costing ￦1,300, going from the airport to the Suburban Bus Terminal. From there, bus #105 (￦900) or #300 (￦1,300) will take you to POSTECH in 10 minutes.

How to go to the Seoul station

▶ Limousine

In order to go to the Seoul Station from Incheon International Airport and Gimpo Airport, take the Limousine referring to the above Limousine and Bus Stop information. You can take a subway from Gimpo Airport to the Seoul Station.

▶ Subway

Take either the limousine bus (either Incheon or Gimpo) or the subway from the airport (Gimpo) to get to the Seoul Train Station. The subway instructions are as follows:
- From Gimpo, take the line 5 (east bound) towards Machun, and at the Singil exit transfer to the line 1 (east bound) towards Uijeongbu; get off at the Seoul Station exit.

From the Seoul Station, first you can go to Dongdaegu station by KTX, it takes 1 hour and 47 minutes. And then take a taxi to Pohang in front of Dongdaegu station. Please show this to taxi driver to get to APCTP.
(Or please take a Limousine Bus to Pohang Bus Terminal at the No.7 gate of the Dongdaegu station. The bus starts every 1 hour from 9:30 to 20:30.)

▶ Subway

From Gimpo Airport to the Express Bus Terminal
The subway station is located under the main lobby of the airport. (Please do not leave the building.) Take the line 5 (East Bound) for Machun or Sangil and get off at Jongno 3(sam)-ga. It takes 41 minutes form Gimpo Airport to Jongno 3(sam)-ga. At Jongno 3(sam)-ga, you may transfer to line 3(South Bound) for Suseo and get off at Express Bus Terminal. It takes 22 minutes from Jongno 3(sam)-ga. Please come out to Exit #1.

▶ To get to the Express Bus Terminal:

Take either the limousine bus or the subway from the airport (either Incheon or Gimpo) to get to the Express Bus Terminal. The subway instructions are as follows:
- From Gimpo, take the line 5 (east bound) towards Machun, and at the Jongno Sam(3)-ga exit transfer to the line 3 (south bound) towards Suseo; get off at the Express Bus Terminal.
- From Incheon, take the line 1 (east bound) towards Uijeongbu, and at the Jongno Sam(3)-ga exit transfer to the line 3 (south bound) towards Suseo ; get off at the Express Bus Terminal.

The Express Bus Terminal connects Seoul to other cities in Korea, including Pohang, Daejun, Masan, and Kwangju. Under normal traffic conditions, it takes about 4 hours and 30 minutes from Seoul to Pohang (buses to Pohang run every hour).
Once you arrive at the Express Bus Terminal in Pohang, take bus #300 in front of the Terminal to get to the POSTECH campus (the fare is ￦1300; travel time will be about 40 minutes). Taxis will take about 20 minutes.
