Applications are invited for a 1+1-year Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in theoretical cosmology at the Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP). The appointment will initially be for one year and may be extended for an additional year, subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of research funding.

The successful candidate will join the newly established Junior Research Group in Theoretical Cosmology ("Primordial Black Holes and Early-Universe Cosmology"), led by Dr. Albert Escrivà, which will commence its activities in August 2026.

APCTP, founded in 1996, is an international organization dedicated to excellence in research and the training of young scientists in the Asia-Pacific region. The Center provides a stimulating and internationally diverse research environment encompassing a broad range of fields, including particle physics, statistical physics, string theory, condensed matter physics, and cosmology. APCTP also maintains extensive international collaborations and agreements with leading institutions worldwide, facilitating active scientific exchange.

The successful candidate will be expected to conduct research in theoretical cosmology within the group and to participate actively in its research activities and collaborations.

ᆞRequired qualification: A PhD in theoretical cosmology, gravitational physics, or a closely related field, obtained by the starting date of the appointment.
ᆞDesirable expertise: Preference will be given to candidates with research experience in one or more of the following areas:
           1) Primordial black holes
           2) Relativistic numerical simulations
           3) Early-Universe cosmology
           4) Gravitational-wave sources in the early Universe

    Terms and Application Procedure

    • ᆞExpected starting date: September 1, 2026
