Overview
The APCTP-BLTP JINR Joint Workshop was initiated to promote cooperation between researchers of Korea and Russia under the partnership between Asia Pacific Center for Theoretical Physics (APCTP) and Bogoliubov Laboratory of Theoretical Physics (BLTP) of Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR). The 1st Joint Workshop was organized by BLTP JINR and was held at Dubna, Russia during June 18-23, 2007. The 2nd Joint Workshop was held at Pohang being organized by the APCTP side on April 20-24, 2008. Since then, it became a tradition that each side hosts the workshop every two years.
The previous event of the series, i.e., 13th workshop, was held at Dubna in Russia, from July 14 to July 20, 2019. (https://indico.jinr.ru/event/749/) The number of the participants from Korea, Russia, China, Bulgaria, Norway was 70 and the number of talks was 53. Encouraged by the success of this series of Joint Workshop, we plan to have the 14th Joint Workshop at Pohang in Korea. We expect that the present collaborations would be more concrete and new collaborations could be constructed through this Joint Workshop. So, the 14th Joint Workshop should be another cornerstone of the constructive collaborations of the researchers from the both sides including more member countries. In fact, we planned to have the 14th Joint Workshop in 2020, 2021, and 2022, but the workshop had to be postponed to the year of 2023 because of COVID-19.
