The Junior Research Group (JRG), "Quantum Information, Black Holes, and Holography", of Asia Pacific Centre for Theoretical Physics  (APCTP), Pohang, Korea invites applications for two postdoctoral positions starting in 2025. The starting date of the appointment is negotiable.

APCTP, founded in 1996, is an international organization dedicated to excellence in research and the training of young scientists in the Asia-Pacific region. APCTP offers a great research environment with strong connections to a number of active theoretical and experimental research groups at the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). APCTP has broad international agreements with many leading institutions around the globe for scientific exchanges.

We are seeking candidates with a background in theoretical high energy physics who will work closely with the JRG leader, Prof. Hyun-Sik Jeong, as well as other postdoctoral researchers at the APCTP. Experience in one or more of the following areas is especially desirable: holography (gauge/gravity duality), quantum information theory, or machine learning applications in physics. The initial appointment is for one year, renewable for up to two additional years depending on research performance and funding.
